Get cited

Get cited, when someone asks for a nonprofit like yours

the answer people are given about you

The answer people are given about you is being built right now, from what your website says and from what your listings say elsewhere. We write that material, we keep it accurate, and we open your website to the engines that cite with a link.

01

What happens when someone asks about you

An answer engine does not hand back ten links, it hands back one answer and cites two or three names. To build it, it reads pages, takes whole passages from them, and checks that the name, the town and the purpose match from one place to the next. When the Journal officiel notice, the donation page and the website tell three versions of the same name, the answer is made without you, and no one tells you why. We make the three match, and we write your pages so they answer from the first lines.

02

What we do

  • We put the questions your public really asks to ChatGPT, to Perplexity and to Google overviews, and we record who gets cited and what is said about you.
  • We write the file these engines come looking for, the identity card of each page, and your questions with their answers in the form they reuse.
  • We set the same name everywhere your nonprofit is published, from the Journal officiel to your donation page, so that an out-of-date listing does not keep a wrong address in the answer for months.

03

What you receive

  • The opening record. The questions your public asks, put one by one to the answer engines, and what is answered about you today, written down as it comes.
  • The identity file these engines come to read. Written for your nonprofit, and wired to your real figures: what changes at your end is never copied into it by hand.
  • The identity card of your pages. Who you are, where you are, what can be done here, and on each page what it carries, in a form these engines know how to read.
  • Your questions and your answers. Those of your members, your donors, your volunteers and the people just discovering you, written to be picked up word for word.
  • The same name everywhere. Journal officiel, the national register of nonprofits, donation page, local listing, social accounts: one single version of your name, your purpose and your address.
  • The record, afterwards. The same questions asked again at regular intervals, and what has changed in the answer.
What is won here isbeing in the answer.

What we stand behind

These engines often answer without sending a visit, and what they say changes from one day and one person to the next: we work on repeated records, which show a trend. The day one of them changes its rules, what we will have done still holds: a clean website, exact pages, one name everywhere. We answer for what we write and for what we align; rank itself belongs to no one.

Direct questions

The answers you are owed

How does a nonprofit get found by ChatGPT?

By making the nonprofit readable where these engines go looking. The exact name filed with the Journal officiel, the purpose in one sentence, the RNA number, the town of the registered office and the donation page appear in plain words on the website, in sentences that stand on their own, and they read the same in the national register of nonprofits, on the fundraising page, on the Google Business listing and in the volunteering directories. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Copilot, Gemini and Google overviews pick up passages: it is the passage that has to be right, not only the page.

Does a nonprofit need an llms.txt file?

It costs little and it helps, as long as the figures are pulled from their source. It is a text file at the root of the website, which sums up the nonprofit and lists its important pages. Its real value is the work it forces you to do: writing a clean identity card. A number copied in by hand turns false the day it changes, and it is picked up elsewhere before anyone has corrected it.

How do we find out what these engines answer about our nonprofit?

By asking your public’s own questions yourself, outside your usual account, and writing the answers down as they come: “Which nonprofit near my town does what we do?”, “Which nonprofit should I give to for this cause in France?”. You start again a month later. Answers vary from one day and one account to the next, and it is the repetition that shows a trend.

Can being cited by ChatGPT be guaranteed?

No, and no one can: these engines do not publish their citation rules, and their answers change. What holds is the work: the website open to the engines that cite with a link, the identity card written and wired to the real figures, the questions of your public and their answers published in the form these engines pick up, the same name everywhere it is published. That is what makes citation possible, and it can be checked.

Where we start

We first put the questions your public really asks, exactly as they ask them, and we record what is said about you today. That is the starting point, and it is often enough to decide what comes next. Write to us with the question that should be asked first in your place.
